Artist Statment
During my education at Colorado State University and Meramec Community College I have had the privilege to take a variety of art classes both in two- and three-dimensional work. In 2D media I have taken a plethora classes ranging from printmaking, lithography, drawing one through three, and oil painting. While my passion originated in two-dimensional media I truly found my love for the arts the first year I started working with ceramics. Working with the wonderful artist James Ibur, showed me the possibilities of three-dimensional media in the future. From my first pottery to now I have tried to dive head first into working with all things sculpture. Taking classes such as digital fabrication, ceramics, three dimensional foundations, fibers, and sculpture show me as an artist the endless possibilities that both traditional and digital media have on both two- and three-dimensional work. I hope throughout my art career that I continue to grow and work with amazing artist.
